Sundays are significant, you will hear me cry.
You can accept
this fact, or maybe ask why.
Why should this day, merit such a
performance.
Why does it attract, so much importance.
This day is not
religious, from my perspective.
Just my day set aside, to become
reflective.
Of those 17 lost men, to remember so well.
Their blood sprayed
across, this political hell
Just one incident, that I am prepared to
say.
There has been many more, that form a "Bloody Sunday".
Experience death,
and life threatening obscenity
Too many decisions, questioning to
infinity
Too many obscene incidents, are acted out on this day.
Some
perverse religious logic, seems to get in the way.
To redress this balance,
is a simple mans view.
Adding beauty this day, for then it becomes
true
Remembering the beauty, of the souls now lost.
For it is the
value of their short lives, and not the cost.
So if I can succeed to add a
quiet peace to your Sunday.
I celebrate their memory, in this small
way.
