On the street where I live, this beauty unfolds.
Bursting into life, just warming our souls.
Fragile pink blossoms, these radiant blooms.
Announcing summers arrival, and none too soon.
Bright sunshine illuminates, this body to warm.
Rejuvenating an old heart, that is so torn.
Still air concentrating the fragrance, within the mind.
Renewing inner strength, where peace I may find.
As I experience and appreciate, each spring day.
Anticipating your arrival, I really must say.
Life without your warmth, is not worth a light.
To have you by my side, is well worth the fight.
There are so many things, I can no longer achieve.
But I feel this emotion, and request you do not leave.
I can observe, placing this gentle touch with care.
Promising in return, tis my heart I will share.
There are many dark days, within this complex mind.
So share with me your emotions, and you will surely find.
That there is much I offer, and so willingly give.
So share this street with me, for tis where I do live.
