Dark blue, colourless and painfully grey.
So easy to fail, to "feel the colours" today.
A soul hell bent, on her addiction.
Fails to comprehend, this total destruction.
Smart, intelligent lady, in days gone long.
Now a tortured soul, the spirit gone.
Was beautiful, with a personality that bubbled.
Now racked in despair, with a mind so troubled.
These dark grey days, last for long years.
As all around, attempt to handle the tears.
Hard retaining perspective, and objective observation.
When all that's tried, results in frustration.
Her smile retreats, the laughter silenced.
Handling only, with poetic licence.
Energy faded, vitality diminished.
Unrecognisable, the beauty finished.
