To freely fly westward, a migration indeed.
Instinctively driven, homewards to fly.
Catching a thermal, soaring in the sky.

Fear not the rigors, of a journey so long.
Instinctive emotions, will remain strong.
An experience repeated, many times before.
There is no cage and therefore no door.

Take no notice, of this heavy heart.
This time is yours, to do as you please.
Your moment in time. Your moment to seize.

I will patiently await, until you decide to return.
Your energy recharged, with some left to burn?
Scanning horizons, until your touch can be seen.
For if you return, you will know you have been.
