Remind us of this summer, and where we have been
The river Avon reflecting, the changing colours of fall
Of a passing season, where we gave life our all.
For it was a joy to touch, to taste your wine
To walk with you, made these days just fine
To share this summer, as my world you see
To understand, how much you mean to me
To feel a love so powerful, that it is bound to inspire
The poet or musician, lifting their spirits higher
It is a vulnerability, so willingly exposed
Beautifully fragile, as on it goes
A cascade of colours, as within my heart they pour
With your original mind, to appreciate and explore
A feeling of warmth, that is quick to defend
A dependability, that goes to any length
Love, an obsession, that ensures a faithfulness
A joining of souls, for who would settle for less
A desperate feeling, so wishing to share
