Hills to climb, slowly with quiet determination
One step at a time, with much frustration
To find the energy, to progress around these trees
To accept the days, you are brought to your knees
This challenge ahead, faced each and every day
Climb this hill, and accept help on the way
Insurmountable objects, or so it often feels
But faced with love, you will not yield
Despair as you feel, to reach the top will take years
Requires inner strength, to overcome these fears
The longest journey, the world has ever seen
Starts with one step, to leave where you have been
So when life gets tough, and lets you down
Think of my love, and lose that frown
Simply take my hand, be assured I care
Your pain with each step, I willingly share
You will achieve, as you climb to this height
Well worth the effort, a magnificent sight
Life's beauty unfolds, new horizons to see
