Steve's secret castle, built of colourful Yorkshire stone.
Stands proud with it's past, but now stands alone.
Walls ravaged by time, and with battle scarred.
Sheds a few tears, as it finds this time hard.
Steve's secret castle, hides a heavy heart.
Appearing brown and grey, whilst we are apart.
Wishing only to "feel your colours" and in so doing rejoice.
Wishing only to touch, the velvet sounds of your voice.
Steve's secret castle, weathered and just too old.
But with your presence, a heart that is never cold.
Tis so true that it's heart is old and with battle torn.
But renewed with you, at each and every passing dawn.
Steve's secret castle, stands upright and is so very tall.
Certain in the knowledge, in love with you, it did fall.
Scanning the horizon, just hoping and awaiting to see.
A precious gift arriving, returning safely home to me.
