Sure, I've done all that and I've been there.
Lived life to the full, and searched for someone to care.
Explored this world until I found, just the right place.
Illuminated solely, by the smile on your face.
I have experienced never ending movement, and salt spray.
An experience where the only colours, were dark sea grey.
Finding a place, where colours are renewed each time you sigh.
Renewed each and everyday, this is the place an old body must lie.
I have lived many days sad to say, involved in yet another fight.
Maintaining personal sanity, as I tried never to lose sight.
Of the quest to discover, and experience your gentle touch.
A peaceful place, rich in warmth and so very much.
I have used all my strength, to hide and control fear.
Only privately exposing, and shedding many a tear.
A life churned up and displayed, as if it were sea foam.
Understand, your presence alone, makes this place home.
Stormy waters recede, and are replaced by a gentle lake.
"Feeling your colours" as my life you most certainly make.
Emotionally fulfilled, as I touch the sound of your voice.
To say once again "I love you" and in so doing rejoice.
There is only one way to say
"I Love You"
