Mid File...The Last Farewell?
Shock and awe, we all heard the hawks cry.
Shocking and awful, as the startled doves fly.
A man of compassion, heart searching his soul.
Does asymmetric warfare, make the world whole?
There is no denying, a professional military force.
They did a great job, as the war took it's course.
But surely before a conflict, is inevitable hailed.
We share responsibility, for diplomacy failed.
Experience a city bombed, within the frightened child's eyes.
Television and armchair warriors, propagate the lies.
If it was your family, under the smart bombs threat.
Would you sanction aggression, would your heart be set?
Disarmament of a nation, seen through a small boys pain.
Results in both his arms amputated, is this world still sane?
Many soldiers lost, in an unmarked shallow grave.
To find their sons, mothers for a lifetime will slave.
Politicians world-wide, are very highly paid.
Diplomacy is their trade, before decisions are made.
Before we allow their jubilation, to be loudly hailed.
We should remember, wars are fought after they have failed.
There is only one way to say
"I Love You "
But there are thousands of ways to demonstrate
