Afraid of the dark, but smells the roses
Firmly believes, monsters are afraid of noses
Laying awake, with eyes shut tight
Hears Santa’s sleigh bells, on the roof at night



Childhood fantasies, expand imagination
Giving way to sensitive, care and consideration
Willing victim, of fashion at it’s height
Lays flat on the bed, to don jeans too tight



Teenage idealism, wants to save this world
Rushing around bossing, your brain in a whirl
Maturing steadily, with the passing years
Collecting events, which add to the tears



Living life to the full, and taking the knocks
Becoming more scarred, with each tick of the clocks
Feeling worn out, and past your prime
Believes that love, has had it's time



The time has arrived, to take stock of your life
To "Feel Your Colours", disregard the strife
To understand the beauty, I see within your smile
To help me walk, that extra mile



To disregard the debris, of life’s pain
Search out your beauty, and yes, enjoy the rain
Tis I who see you, the most clearly
