They became international traders, with behaviour quite funny?
As they invented the farthing, the basis for modern money.
Lancaster and York houses, with roses both red and white.
Caused the war of the roses, involving York in yet another fight.
The English civil war, a decisive battle fought at Marston moor.
Bringing to an end, one hundred years of English civil war.
Recent times re-built York Minister, following destruction by fire.
A timely visit to this place, will ensure your soul flies higher.
This is the place where the old and new world, continues to meet.
At peace with itself, with the noise of tourists now filling the street.
