Allowing unrestricted travel, for the "common folk".
An English way of life, just like the "English Oak".
Speeds of 100 miles per hour, previously unknown.
With a reliable safety record, as it was certainly shown.
Technology exported, to all the world's civilised powers.
Opening up the world, countries crossed within hours.
Technology reducing time zones, down to a human scale.
Just where would we be, without this travel by rail?
