Chesterfield Church, a painful crick in its spire.
What brought on this fate, could it be lust or desire?
A surprising event, caused the spire to twist round.
While viewing a virgin, unknown in this town.
A blushing bride, a rare virgin to view.
The spire bent forward, could this really be true?
Surprised and stunned, it twisted into a contortion.
Given the spire's age, remains out of proportion.
Chesterfield spire remains crooked and bent.
Will never straighten, until one special event.
When the next virgin marries, though old and feeble.
The same surprise, will straighten the steeple.
There is only one way to say
"I Love You"
But there are thousands of ways to demonstrate
