I have felt the freshness, of the ocean's salt spray.
I have been chilled by fear, that taught me to pray.
I have been honoured, by brave men who called me friend.
I have led the best, within capacity of trust, they lend.
I have been engulfed, with the loneliness of despair.
I would have given all, for someone to care.
Feelings of elation, an unexpected kindness shown.
To understand that within this world, I was not alone.
I have felt grass greens, as I explored life's path.
I have tasted the riches, found only in your laugh.
I have touched this world, over many a mile.
In search of your unique, enchanting smile.
We have shared a few days, with more to come.
As we explore these colours, and then some.
This is my world, for you and I to see.
For in seeing this, you will also see me.
