Be not surprised, when we offer you tea.
Tea from India, as my forefathers explored.
Missionaries followed the crusaders sword.
With them went English, and Christian care.
The language of navigation, and travel by air.
We developed Greek democracy, and tried to perfect.
Exporting civilisation, with an occasional shipwreck.
We invented international trade, and some got rich.
Freedom or exploitation, now which was which?
Now this beautiful island, bordered by beach sand.
Provides for your needs, within a green and pleasant land.
A colourful island, surrounded with the softest of air.
A photographers dream, with just a little care.
A land of castles, with a "colourful" past.
Snapshots in the memory, that are sure to last.
Be not afraid to explore, is my certain plea.
For in seeing this place, you will also see me.
