Greetings From The UK.
And. Mid...Colour This Wind.As the last snows of winter, from the skies do fall.
Huge beautiful snowflakes, rest on the wall.
Golden blooming daffodils, bend under the weight.
Spring does hesitate, and may arrive late.
Changeable weather, for all to feel and see.
Oh! Where is the warmth?, Is my certain plea.
Giving no clue, when spring will bloom.
My heart craves for this time, to arrive soon.
The Barnacle goose, shows no hesitation.
Has no doubts, and commences migration.
Visits the UK marshlands, and starts to feed.
Heralds the spring, which follows its lead.
This silly goose flies, many a thousand mile.
With it’s arrival, my heart does smile.
Ungainly on the ground, for tis a little obese.
Claims its spot, and takes over the lease.
This birds no fool, as it occupies these lands.
Makes it’s home, upon our sands.
Aggressive, demanding, noisy and distractive.
This plump bird arrives, and is so attractive.
As a visitor to these shores, will suffer no harm.
For who could resist, this obvious charm.
White spots in the sky, are these geese.
Replacing the snowflake, my heart to please.
Brilliant white, beautiful, and difficult goose.
Tied simply to nature, free and foot loose.
Gives of it’s company, and warmth for a time.
Then migrates home, leaving me wishing she was mine. There is only one way to say.
"I Love You".
But there are thousands of ways to demonstrate.
