This fountain, cascading from so very high
Youthful energy, reaching for the sky
Prominent and visible, for all to see
For this was a day, you spent with me



As we mature, with advancing years
Our aims are lower, to reduce the tears
Feel not a sadness, that we are lost
We should aim higher, disregard the cost



You may marvel, at this high cascade
And believe that it is your energy, that fades
But look again, at the lower reaches
It is here, where the rainbow features



To aim a little lower, still provides the colours
A realistic dream, it is not for others
Reliable, steady and mature, you will find
This beauty visible, within my mind



Express your concerns, and all your desires
Be not afraid, to light the fires
Mature love, may be but a glowing ember
But this was a day, that I remember



There is only one way to say

"I Love You "

But there are thousands of ways to demonstrate
