Windows 98

Some would say that this Part is unecessary
And I will admit
that it is optional.
You may chose to disregard this part if you
wish
But I add it here simply because it is what I do next
as part of my
basic housekeeping.
My rationale as I head towards a Defag
is to
remove all that I do not need.
This way I clear as many clusters as
possible
on my C Drive, enabling the defrag to "clean up"
better
Before we start.
A
WARNING.
If you reguarly access your most recent files in this
way,
then disregard this part.
As here I will delete the shortcuts to
my most recently used
files.
Hit the START
button and select DOCUMENTS
Here can be seen the
last 15 files that I accessed.
I personally never use these
shortcuts
So I will remove them prior to a
Defrag.

Then select START MENU
PROGRAMS Tab
Under DOCUMENTS MENU hit
the CLEAR Button
This will delete those
shortcuts
Hit the START button and select DOCUMENTS
All the shortcuts have been deleted.
As
you continue to use your computer
these 15 most recent files will
progressively re-build.
So here ends the Fourth
Part of Basic housekeeping.
But we still have a little more to do before
your computer
housework is completed.
